Tibet

The traditional homeland of the Tibetan people, Tibet is the highest region on the earth also known as the roof of the world and is an autonomous region of China. Tibet has some of the world's tallest mountains including Mount Kailash (home of Lord Shiva and a holy pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Tibetans) and several major rivers along the Yarlung Tsangpo River which is considered as the deepest and longest canyons in the world.

Tibet is popular to explore the world heritage sites: the Potala Palace and Norbulingka, the former residences of the Dalai Lama. Potala Palace is considered as the winter palace of Dalai Lamas and similarly Norbulingka Palace as the summer palace.

Most of the Hindus devotees visit Mount Kailash to pay homage to lord god Shiva. It is a sacred mountain revered by both Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus.

There are more others tourist attraction places in Tibet some of them are Jokhang Temple, Namatso Lake, Yamdrok Lake, Ranwu Lake, Lhasa city, Gyantse, Xigatse etc.
