"Nepal lies between 26°22'N to 30°27'N latitude and 80°4'E and 88°12'E longitude". The country borders with China in the north and India in the east, south, and west.

Nepal Harbor 8 of the 14 highest peaks in the world including, Annapurna I (8,091m), Manaslu (8,163m), Dhawalagiri (8,167m), Cho Oyu (8,201m), Makalu I (8,463m), Lotse I (8,501m), Kanchanjunga (8,598m) and Mount Everest (8,848m).

Nepal isn't only rich in natural wonders however in tradition and culture too. The 22 million people of Nepal represent more than 60 caste/ ethnic groups, thus exhibiting "unity in diversity" within a relatively small geographic area. Nepalese are proud of their independent sovereign state, never ruled by any outside power. Nepal is known worldwide as the home of brave Gurkhas, sturdy Sherpas, hospitable Thakalis, cultured Newars and so on.

Nepal is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. He was born at Lumbini which is located in the south near Nepal India border.
